It was a warm autumn day, perfect for a new adventure with the community. This time we were heading for the Madlochspitze with the plan to spend the night up there. We took the Seekopf lift up to the Zürsersee and from there hiked to the Madlochspitze in about two hours. At the top we were rewarded with a panoramic view in every direction.

As the sun began to set we pitched our tents, had a hearty dinner and watched the colours fade over the mountains.
Say yes more often to the things that push you out of your comfort zone.

The forecast had promised clear skies, but during the night we were surprised by gusts of up to 80 km/h. Despite the wind we all made it through, even those spending their very first night on a mountain. Everyone stayed strong and anchored their tents extra well.
I tried to give a night photography tutorial, but the wind made it quite the challenge. Yana, one of the participants, still managed her first Milky Way photo, the one you can see above.
Just for fun we also tried some light painting, as a reminder to say yes more often to the things that push us out of our comfort zone.

The morning greeted us with a spectacular sunrise, the perfect backdrop for our first meal of the day. After breakfast we packed up, hiked back down to the Zürsersee and stopped for lunch at the Seekopf restaurant before taking the lift down.

Together we faced the wind and the height and came home with stories we will carry for a long time. Until the next adventure!
