Free mountain adventures in Vorarlberg with people you haven't met yet.
Apply to joinIt started with one question.
For years I shared my adventures on social media: sunrises on summits, nights in a tent, the odd cave. And every now and then someone asked me the same question: "Next time, can I come along?"
For a long time I didn't quite know what to do with it. Then I thought, why not? Why not bring together people who had only ever seen my photos, who had never met each other and take them up a mountain with me?
That doesn't mean I take everyone. You don't need to be a mountain goat, but you do need to be ready to leave your comfort zone. To get up in the middle of the night for a sunrise, to keep laughing when the wind tries to take the tent and to say yes to something you have never done before. Saying yes to exactly those things is pretty much how I live and it's what I want to share.
Because the best adventures start with strangers who become friends.
How it works
Tell me who you are
A few lines about yourself, what you do and why you want to come along. That is the whole application.
Join the WhatsApp group
If it feels like a fit, I'll add you to our group. That's where every adventure gets announced.
Say you're in
Some adventures are planned weeks ahead, others start with a message the day before. You come along whenever it works for you.
It's free
Joining is free. If there are costs along the way, like a guide or food, we split them.
How fit you need to be
Depends on the adventure, from an hour's walk to a night on a summit. A basic level of fitness helps.
When
No fixed dates. Some are planned, some happen at short notice.
Where
Mostly Vorarlberg and the Arlberg, plus the odd cave.
Where we've been
7 adventures so far.
Cheese fondue on the First
Our last adventure of 2024. Deep snow, a fondue on the summit and a campfire long after sunset.
A windy night on the Madlochspitze
Tents on the summit, gusts of 80 km/h and a sunrise over the Arlberg the next morning.
Into the Schneckenloch
Two and a half hours underground in a cave in the Bregenzerwald.
Sunset on the Staufenspitze
A spontaneous evening hike in an unusually warm March and a summit book entry written one word at a time.
Saharan dust on the Hohe Kugel
A sunset hike in orange light, thanks to dust from the Sahara.
First sunset on the Hohe Matona
The first community adventure where people actually showed up.
The first time, nobody came
The very first community adventure. At 2 a.m. it was just Lukas and me at the meeting point.
