Saharan dust on the Hohe Kugel

At the beginning of October 2023 it was time for another community adventure. We met at the parking lot in Fraxern and started hiking together, with the plan to watch the sunset from the Hohe Kugel. Some new faces joined the group this time, which was really exciting. The conditions were perfect on the way up and we had great conversations along the way.
An interesting twist was the Saharan dust in the air, which gave the light a unique orange hue. When we reached the summit and waited for the sunset, the dust made the whole evening even more magical. The sun went down in a warm orange glow over the landscape.
Another evening full of good talks and new connections.
As the sun dipped below the horizon we kept talking and sharing moments. Once it got dark we put on our headlamps and carefully made our way down through the blue hour. The descent was smooth and everyone made it back safely.
