After a bit of a break it was time for another community event. This time I wanted to try something completely different: a cave tour. We met our guides Lutz and Lukas from Aktiv-Zentrum and started with an hour's hike up through a steep, beautiful forest. At the top we took a break, had some snacks and got a briefing for the cave. Then we suited up in our cave gear and the real adventure began.

I brought my camera to capture the best moments. The deeper we went, the darker, narrower and more exciting the cave became. At first it was huge and impressive, but soon we had to crawl through tighter and tighter spaces. It was a real mental and physical challenge and it brought us together as a group.
We switched off all our headlamps for two minutes to experience complete darkness.

We spent about two and a half hours inside. One of the highlights was switching off all our headlamps for two minutes to experience complete darkness. That feeling stays with you.

We climbed, slid down small drops and made our way through some wet sections. The cave stays at 8 degrees all year round, but all the moving kept us warm.

Once we were safely out again, we took a well-deserved break and then headed down, past a few beautiful waterfalls.

The cave tour challenged us, brought us closer together and gave us more moments to remember than I can count. Thanks again to everyone who came along and made it what it was!
