First sunset on the Hohe Matona

Our first sunset hike took place in September 2023. It was special because it was our very first sunset tour and it marked the beginning of something truly wonderful.

At that point none of us knew each other. We were all meeting for the first time and it was amazing how quickly we connected. We started in the Laternsertal and made our way up to the Hohe Matona, lucky with the weather the whole way.

None of us knew each other. It was amazing how quickly we connected.

At the top it was a bit windy, but the view was stunning. Watching the sunset up there together was a fantastic first adventure for our new group.

This hike meant a lot to me. After the first sunrise tour, where nobody showed up, having people join this time was a big deal. It showed me the magic that happens when you step out of your comfort zone and share moments like these with others.

Thank you to everyone who was part of this first tour. It was the start of many more adventures to come.
